By Amber Hodson

It has been one year since Manchester Metropolitan University’s The Union packed their bags and moved to their new home on Higher Cambridge Street. This week The Union is hosting several events to celebrate the first year in their new building and there are several articles to dive into which look back at the previous year.

Some noteworthy events include:

Smartphone Quiz – Monday 25th January, 8pm – 11pm in The Bar
Refreshers Fair – Wednesday 27th January, noon – 4pm in the Main Hall
Marvel Film Marathon – Thursday 28th January, noon – 10pm in the Main Hall

If you haven’t yet visited the new building, make it a priority this week to join in with the celebrations. The Union is not just fun and games, you can also find out about societies, volunteering and gather advice about money, housing and academic issues amongst other subject matters.
