Manchester welcomes its first eco-friendly Christmas market at Hatch
The eco-friendly festive experience is the first of its kind to hit the north of the country and it will be right here in Manchester this weekend.
Taking place at Hatch on Oxford Road, the pop-up event will see a number of activities and workshops across the two days including a talk on how to live sustainably and workshops for creating, making, sewing, upcycling or fermenting your own sustainable gifts.
Bruntwood and Zero Waste Goods, the companies that are touring the country with their zero waste Christmas markets, believe that ‘Christmas shouldn’t cost the earth’. They are encouraging the public to ‘go green’, particularly at Christmas, because of the 30% increase in waste compared to any other time of the year.
The organisers promise easy, stress-free sustainable shopping, festive entertainment throughout and hot mulled wine (as well as lots of food options) so there’ll be something for all ages. And the best part, it’s completely free!
Find over 25 independent zero-waste brands at Manchester’s first sustainable Christmas market at Hatch from 5pm – 9pm on Friday 29th November and 11am – 7pm on Saturday 30th November.
