I thought I would begin my search for Manchester Metropolitan University’s best dressed student in my home faculty of Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences. Although some of you wouldn’t associate these subjects as being fashionable, the students that study them certainly are! It was difficult to decide who made the cut but here are just a select few for you to look at.

Profiles

1sophie

Name: Sophie

Subject: Criminology & Politics

Outfit: Blouse H&M, Leggings Miss Selfridge, Boots Ark, Necklace Primark, Coat River Island

Sophie is looking elegant in a smokey print blouse that’s complete with a hi-low hem. She has teamed this with a statement necklace and  kept a monochrome theme throughout. My favourite piece of Sophie’s look is her biker style jacket with fur trim, which I think is a must have in any wardrobe. Whoever knew Politics students looked this good!!!

 1angusName: Angus

Subject: History

Outfit: Shirt Topman, Hoddie Adidas Originals, Jeans Topman, Shoes Nike Roshe Run, Jacket Burton

Angus is wearing this seasons 90s reclaim look with a bomber style Jacket and hoodie combo. He also stuck to a classic navy and white colour scheme, finishing his outfit with popular Nikes. When I asked Angus why he chose this outfit he said, I just wear what I feel comfy in.” Obviously just a naturally fashionable man…

1lorna
Name: Emily

Subject: English

Outfit: Jumper Topshop, Skirt Afflecks Palace, Boots Burtie Boots

Em is all wrapped up in her winter look with an oatmeal chunky knit jumper which is a great staple for this time of year. I love her green tartan mini skirt which is a great find from Affleck’s. She adds 60s style knee high boots which compliment her mini skirt and jumper. Em’s boots were defiantly made for walking!

1george

Name: George

Subject: History

Outfit: Shirt Topman, Jeans River Island, Boots River Island, Coat Topman, Scarf H&M

Dapper George has gone for a more smart casual look combining a smart dark green shirt with skinny jeans and winter boots. He has stuck to very seasonal colours and his use of layering is perfect for this time of year. Clearly this guy heard winter was coming!

1emilyName: Lorna

Subject: History

Outfit: Coat Vinted, Jeans Primark, Shoes Kurt Geiger

Lorna is looking fabulous in a wintery wrap coat with big fur collar. She has contrasted her monochrome look with ripped acid wash jeans which are in this season. By far the best bit of Lorna’s outfit are her lovely grey suede shoe boots which with her cropped jeans make her look taller! Certainly a great match for any of you not blessed with long model-like legs.

1josh

Name: Josh

Subject: Philosophy

Outfit: Blazer Next, Hoodie Topman, Top ASOS, Jeans Topman, Shoes Nike

Josh is looking ultra smart in his blazer but taking a casual stance with a hoodie & plain t-shirt underneath. His skinny jeans add a tailored theme to his look perfect for anytime of year. He keeps the student vibe to his look with his trainers which have a hint of orange running through them. Bravo Josh for making an effort for university!

It’s all about HLSS faculty when it comes to looking good at uni! Thanks to all my models who I stopped to photograph this week. Next time I will be hunting down MMU’s best dressed in the Art School.
