The Royston Club perform alongside Overpass and Permanent (Joy) at a sold-out O2 Victoria Warehouse.
Welsh indie rock band The Royston Club, school friends who began playing together in 2017, now headline O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. Touring second album Songs For The Spine, they generate an energetic sold-out crowd.
The night is kicked off early by Permanent (Joy), an indie rock band from Liverpool.
Led by frontman Alex Davison, the band don’t waste a second on stage, maintaining high energy through-out the entire set.
Up next is Birmingham’s Overpass. The crowd’s excitement is palpable: waving hands fill the sky, fans on shoulders, all fully immersed in the music.
The vulnerable, yet elating sound is perfect for the venue; it’s a gripping preview for the band’s upcoming album and tour Elsewhere, Always.
Finally, The Royston Club storm the stage. Known for their high energy performances, they do not disappoint. Tom Faithfull is centre stage – his presence is powerful, and that power is contagious. From guitarist Ben Matthias on the left to bassist Dave Tute on the right, the band is relentless.
Drummer Sam Jones holds the tour’s symbol proudly above his head, and the rhythm spreads across the crowd as they scream along with the lyrics.
