Stitched Up – The Six Items Challenge

Could you wear only six garments for six weeks? Join Stitched Up at our special styling evening to discover whether you could do it for the love of garment workers around the world.

On Thursday 13 February 2014 we are hosting a unique styling evening in aid of the brilliant campaign group Labour Behind the Label. Stitched Up

coordinate Labour Behind the Label activities in Manchester, and are all-round massive fans of the work that they do in helping garment workers around the world fight for better working conditions and pay.

The event will give an introduction to Labour Behind the Label’s work and their ‘Six Items Challenge‘ in which dedicated ethical fashionistas are sponsored to wear only six items for six weeks.
Over a glass of bubbles, Stitched Up will share some thrifty styling tips to inspire and help you get the most out of a heavily-edited wardrobe. You’ll be surprised how far six garments can go using just a few accessories and your own creative flair!

We hope you’ll then join us in taking on the ‘Six Items Challenge’, starting on 5 March, to raise money for Labour Behind the Label. That’s right – Stitched Upare taking the pledge to wear only six garments (each, of course) for six weeks.

If you’re inspired enough by the spendthrift styles we’ve sent down the catwalk, you can sign up to the challenge on the night, or take a sponsorship pack away with you and give it some thought.
