A band that has both heart and bite, Kid Kapichi boasts a furiously gritty punk-rock sound, often accompanied by a catchy chorus to boot. The four-piece consists of frontmen Jack Wilson and Ben Beetham (joint lead guitar/vocals), George Macdonald (drums), and Eddie Lewis (bass). Despite only having one album to their name, they’ve quickly pricked the ears of many. They’ve made waves from their hometown of Hastings and beyond, which is what makes them such a stellar supporting act. They will be joined by two other exceptional additions, Black Honey and The Vices.

Earlier this year, Kid Kapichi released their explosive single, New England (ft Bob Vylan). It was the perfect release to follow up their debut album, This Time Next Year (2021), which focused on observing the society we live in without holding back. Accompanied by some attention-grabbing soundscapes and refreshingly honest lyrics, it’s no wonder they’ve been nominated for Heavy Music Awards’  Best UK Breakthrough Artist.

Even though they are a relatively new group, they’re no stranger to sharing the stage with some of the other frontrunners in the scene, previously supporting bands including Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, and The Specials and Slaves.

Co-vocalist, Wilson has said, “It’s an absolute honour to be on the road with not only an amazing band but also our good friends. Tours with a lineup this hot come around once in a blue moon so we’re excited to be involved. We can’t wait to finally get back out to Europe after years of waiting”.

If you can’t make it to any of their performances alongside Nothing But Thieves, rest assured, that they have a host of other live dates planned for later this year. They have a headline slot in London and a support slot for You Me At Six, and if that’s not enough for you, they’ve scheduled a host of festival slots at the likes of Reading & Leeds, The Great Escape, Live At Leeds, and Kendal Calling and 2000 Trees festival. Clearly, they’re set to dominate the live music circuit.

Make sure to get your ticket for an upcoming show near you, or witness them at a festival, as they’re on the rise and taking us with them for the thrill.
