Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing
All Week – Runs until 6 May | Manchester Art Gallery

An exhibition marking the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death. The showcase offers a rare opportunity to view 12 of his drawings from the Royal Collection, which includes anatomical studies, caricatures and more.


Tuesday Talks at the Whitworth: Mary Griffiths and Kostya Novoselov

In 2010, University of Manchester Professors Kostya Novoselov and Andre Geim won the Nobel Prize in Physics for their work on graphene. Over the last year, Novoselov and artist Mary Griffiths have collaborated to create Prospect Planes, a video drawing accompanied its own musical score. They are both hosting a talk at the Whitworth to discuss their work.

All Week – Runs until 23 March | Manchester Central Library

A photography and film exhibition that examines the Somali-British experience, focusing on Moss Side in Manchester. Also including a 3D sculptural installation, the collection invites you to learn about the Somali-Mancunion experience through the images, testimonies and sounds of the community.
