North West visitor attraction and ski centre Chill Factore recently hosted the Subvert Boardstore annual Freestyle Event. The event raised nearly £14,000 which is to be donated to Manchester charity The Christie, the internationally recognised centre for the treatment of cancer.
The event featured freestyle sessions courtesy of snowboarding group The Booby Trap. Riders were also treated to a live DJ set and Van’s Waffles as they took to the slopes and enjoyed the unique SUBJAM session.
A private demo village was also set up on the slope at the event, allowing customers an exclusive trial of the latest season from the world’s best boards and apparel. Guests on the night were invited to take part in the event raffle, with prizes and gifts donated by local sponsors and businesses.
Lorraine and Darren of Subvert said, “We are thrilled with the success of the event. It was great to see so many riders enjoying the Freestyle Park at Chill Factore and testing out the new season’s collections before anyone else. We couldn’t be happier with the total raised, it is incredible and we would like to thank everyone involved for their help and support.”
