Manchester based alternative rock band New Luna will be releasing their debut EP this week with an event at the Fallow Café in Fallowfield. The EP follows the release of the band’s single ‘Noise’.
Formed in early 2015, New Luna’s dreamy post-punk vibe introduces a fresh take on alternative rock. Meeting at university in Manchester and sharing musical tastes in their admiration for bands such as Radiohead, Joy Division and Bombay Bicycle Club, the four-piece have developed an intense and expressive live set which was taken to UK festivals this summer and received with much acclaim. As the Manchester Evening News said of the band, “Superb debut single TrafficLightCyclopsDisco swerved genres and pigeonholing with impressive aplomb. A display of the possibilities still offered by guitar, bass, drums and an idiosyncratic frontman, what impresses most is the band’s off-kilter approach to pop songwriting.”
The highly anticipated EP is produced by Church Party’s Matt Downes and the band will be launching it at the Fallow Cafe on 6th December.
