New Street Records (NSR), a student-run record label for student musicians that has recently branched out from Birmingham and into Manchester, would like to give residents of the city a taste of just how diverse Manchester’s music scene really is.

On the 8th June, students from the city will have the opportunity to take a peek at some upcoming talent as well as to celebrate the launch of the new Manchester branch and to get to know members of the New Street Records team. The store are also now looking for talented student musicians who wish to be signed, or would like to talk more.

NSR Manchester’s launch party will be taking place at Oxford Road’s Sound Control. Tickets cost just £4, with a booking fee of £1. Doors open at 7PM.

The night will feature live music from student bands Tindrumm, Sam Jackson, Crossfire. and special guests White Eskimo, alongside some of the area’s best DJs.

Over the years, Manchester has had some incredible musical talent – from the Happy Mondays to The Stone Roses – so, let’s join together and celebrate those who are taking Manchester by storm right now!

You can follow the event on Facebook, buy your tickets online at Skiddle, and follow NSR Manchester on Twitter.
