Touring the release of debut album In an Empty Space I’m Screaming, bloody/bath performs an intimate yet characteristically intense show at The Castle Hotel.

First on the line-up is Manchester’s own, Cob, a post-rock unit that blends a wall distorted guitar with melodic violin, punctured only by vocals that blur the line between spoken-word poetry and pained screams.

Next duo PEACE_TALKS brings a multimedia performance that includes both archive interviews and a CRT television. All soundtracked by synthpop laden with lush effects and duetted vocals.

Headliner bloody/bath immediately launches into an assault of wild guitar noise, held down by steady post-punk foundations.

Performing tracks from their new album, as well as old favourites (from when the band was the solo effort of frontman Kailan Price), bloody/bath’s ferocious energy leaves the crowd begging for more, leading to an impromptu and unrehearsed encore to end the night.
