Blatter FIFA

By Josh Dimond

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has been compared to Jesus, Nelson Mandela, Winston Churchill, Moses, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King by Osiris Guzman, president for the Dominican Republic FA.

The comments were made during the CONCACAF congress, where a handful of representatives also gave their backing to Blatter to win the upcoming FIFA presidency election.

‘Honest Abe’ Blatter, who is seeking a fifth term in office, comes up against Luis Figo, Jordanian Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein and Michael van Praag for the presidency. The election takes place on 30 May 2015.

As for Guzman’s sycophantic comparisons, he clearly doesn’t know his historical figures very well. Was there a verse in the bible where Jesus allows his disciples to accept bribes? Maybe the comments were made in reference to Blatter’s ability to forgive FIFA officials for their sins.

Here’s hoping against a Fifth Coming.
