Society Spotlight: MMU Fashion Society

0 237

As the new semester gets underway and Fresher Week starts to feel like a distant memory, we’re keen to shine a light on student societies and how you can get involved.

Joining a student society is one of the best ways to make new friends and relax after your studies. There are tons of great societies to choose from at Manchester Met and aAh! will be highlighting some of our favourites.

We caught up with MMU Fashion Society to learn more about what they do, and how you can get involved.

Tell us about your society…

As a society, we host events, workshops, talks, socials and parties. We aim to give members the chance to collaborate and socialise with like-minded, creative people.

When and where do you meet?

Roughly every other week with our locations changing from the previous events’, so keep an eye out to find the right event and time for you!

What is your most popular event?

At the end of the year we have our own ‘Manchester Met-Gala’ costume ball, where we raise money for charity together as a society.

How can we find out about your next event?

Follow @mmufashionsoc on Instagram to keep up to speed on our latest events.

Anything else you want students to know about your society?

Our society is for all students, not just fashion students!

Where can students find out more?
