Tom Grennan played to a packed house at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday, with over 15,000 fans in attendance for his largest performance of his career to date.

Frankie Beetlestone kicked off the evening by energising the crowd and preparing them for what was to come.

Beetlestone gave live performances of several of his classics including ‘Popstar’, ‘Cannonball,’ and the song ‘Slowly Break My Heart,’ which is set to be released later this month.

A cheering crowd welcomed Gracey to Manchester as she approached the stage shortly after Beetlestone’s opening set. She launched into her well-known hit ‘What a Waste’.

She went on to sing a rendition of Lewis Capaldi’s ‘Before You Go,’ to thunderous applause from the crowd around the arena.

After a brief interval, Tom Grennan sprinted onto centre stage and kicked off the party with a medley of songs including ‘Sober’, ‘Royal Highness’ and ‘Barbed Wire’. There were stars in Grennan’s eyes as he peered out towards the sea of fans.

Since he started performing at the age of 18, Grennan has rapidly advanced his career. His debut performance in Manchester took place at the O2 Ritz in 2018. Since then, he has travelled the globe and returned to the UK to perform in one of the country’s largest arenas.

He continued his act by performing his most recent track, ‘Remind Me,’ which has just received new notice in the charts. He seemed astonished that he had just had his ‘I made it’ moment as his supporters sang back to him.

“I had surgery three days ago, but I wasn’t going to miss you”, said Grennan reading out a fan’s sign as he took some BeReals and spoke to some of his devoted fans throughout the concert.

Grennan included some special guests in his set, inviting Angel Silvera to perform a duet of ‘Let’s Go Home Together’, while Gracey returned afterwards to perform ‘Not Over Yet’ alongside the star.

“Tonight, my dreams have come true, thank you Manchester”, said Grennan as he thanked his followers as he ended the biggest party in Manchester.

Once the opening for ‘A Little Bit of Love’ started, Grennan grinned as the audience shouted the song’s lyrics back at him. What a night it was for music lovers as well as Tom Grennan fans.

Tom Grennan will be headlining at London’s O2 Arena as part of his ongoing international tour on Tuesday 21st March.
