The face of independent alternative brand Pretty Disturbia, “inspired by oddity”, has been chosen to walk for punk-inspired brand, Vivienne Westwood.
Lara McGrath will showcase their Spring/Summer 2020 collection at London Fashion Week.
McGrath walking for Westwood is a match made in heaven, as Pretty Disturbia specifically caters to customers who also wear and enjoy Westwood.
McGrath was scouted as Pretty Disturbia’s first model at a young age, giving her her first big break. The brand is reportedly now thrilled to see her climb new heights with Punk’s High Queen of Fashion.
Founded in 2009 by CEO Leesa Bertram, Pretty Disturbia focuses on specialising in hand made punk, grunge and alternative styles. Bertram has stated:
“Vivienne Westwood is a huge inspiration to our brand, from her original Punk high fashion designs, to her sustainable fashion ethos; all influence the creations and morals of Pretty Disturbia.”
In fact, Bertram is such a fan that she even has Westwood’s signature orb logo tattooed on her hand!
McGrath’s modelling for Westwood also coincides with Pretty Disturbia’s 10th anniversary, for which an exclusive birthday gala event will be held on 1st June 2019 in an iconic location yet to be revealed.
While Pretty Disturbia is a local Manchester brand, with Bertram being brought up in Middleton, their iconic bleached and ripped tartan designs are worn around the world.
Pretty Disturbia’s clothing is now sold on ASOS Marketplace, Etsy, Depop and their website.
