The Menzingers brought their biggest UK/EU tour to date to Manchester on Friday, playing to a sold out crowd at the O2 Ritz Manchester.

They showed off their fifth album After the Party, released early 2017. This latest album displays the bands anxieties about growing older.

For this tour, The Menzingers brought along their fellow Philly friends, Cayetana who put on a beautiful, mesmerizing performance that captured the attention of the whole crowd.

Main support band, PUP, announced they were “no strangers to Manchester”, before going on to describe how every time they play Manchester, something within their set goes wrong. Admittedly, they told the crowd that they had once been boo’ed off stage by a Manchester crowd, however, The Menzingers fans showed PUP the respect they deserved and were clearly loving every second of theirs and showed this by passionately pointing their fingers in the air and singing along to every word.

The Menzingers started their set off on the right foot by entering the stage to the ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ theme song playing loud and proud, fully embracing their Philly roots. They went on to deliver a polished set to the adoring packed crowd. Their fans were on top form, very much alive throughout the whole set. Although this was The Menzingers biggest Manchester show to date, the gig still felt very intimate as fans sung along to every word and were crowd-surfing throughout the whole set.

This Manchester date followed a massive sold out show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on the one year anniversary of their album release.
