Humanity Hallows Issue 6 Out Now

This Thursday at 6pm, LightUp Collective and Changing Tides are holding a door-to-door arts festival, Small Steps 17, in the city’s contemporary Northern Quarter. The festival will be raising money for charity.
The aim of the event is to provide an opportunity for people to enjoy local talent in the city’s most up and coming venues; Twenty Twenty Two, Kosmonaut and Stage and Radio. Twenty Twenty Two is showing a range of artworks, interactive pieces, films and a live performance with Limit UK and Radial Grooves providing the soundtrack, with all proceeds going to Rape Crisis. The Kosmonaut Venue, run by environmentalists Changing Tides, will be raising money for the Sea Life Foundation, showing work on the subject of and inspired by the environment, with speakers from lovemybeach and acoustic sets from local performers such as Gazelle. These are two extremely different causes, but are linked together by the activism aspect of art which is what Small Steps hopes to celebrate at Stage and Radio kicking off the after party at 10.30pm.
Coming to the event, and donating a little money, is a Small Step for a single person to help raise money for charity while enjoying and supporting local talent and businesses.
