Long-time collaborator of Nick Cave and Warren Ellis and current Bad Seeds guitarist George Vjestica heads to Manchester this month, at the helm of his new band Bandante. The three piece are set to play a second gig as part of a three date UK tour at Manchester’s Castle Hotel on April 27.

Vjestica worked on the soundtracks to John Hillcoat’s films The Proposition and Lawless. In 2012 he joined Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds to record their fifteenth studio album Push the Sky Away and last year’s critically acclaimed Skeleton Tree.

Now looking to experiment in the underground scene, Vjestica promises that every gig from the boldly named Bandante will be a unique experience, complimented with live visuals from collage artist Timothy Shepherd.

The remaining dates of the current Bandante tour are:

Manchester – 27th April @ The Castle Hotel

London – 30th April @ Portobello Live/ Rock Against Racism Gig
