Blackwell’s has recently launched an initiative that will allow students to access free eBooks. The offer, which seeks to support higher education, will allow undergraduates to download a different eBook each week until the end of the Spring term.

The eBook can be downloaded from Blackwell’s Learning Platform, especially designed to fulfill students needs. To gain access to this resource, students won’t need to make a purchase in the bookstore, but simply visit their local Blackwell’s and ask for a copy of the free eBook. They will be provided with an access code that will make the book available for a week.

The offer, which was launched on 23rd January, coincided with Academic Book Week, the first eBook on offer How To Get A First by Michael Tefulas. The book contains personal testimonies from students and scientific research that serves to inspire everyone to achieve academic success, accompanied by strategies to improve self-confidence and grades.

Matthew Emery, Head of Learning for Blackwell’s, said: “Blackwell’s is committed to assisting universities wherever we can in their mission to attain higher student satisfaction and results and achieve stronger student outcomes.”

He also mentioned Blackwell’s Student Price Match Guarantee, which matches their prices to the ones offered by first-hand sellers: “This year, we have launched our Student Price Match Guarantee, ensuring students on all campuses with a Blackwell’s shop get the UK’s cheapest prices on their textbook purchases. Our Price Match Guarantee is also available on Blackwells.co.uk. This has already had a significant and positive impact on the number of students purchasing textbooks to support their studies.”
