If Girl Power is your thing and you are in need of a night out with difference, then look no further than the Pop Bubble Rock Mean Girls House Party.

The party begins at 9pm sharp with a screening of the iconic movie Mean Girls, and plenty of sweet treats on offer to enhance this cinema experience. The film is followed by a 90s themed club night from 11pm until 4am, with a whole host of feel-good Girl Power tunes ready to be played on the decks.

Special guests at the event will include Girl Gang Sheffield co-founders Vanessa Fruits and Ben Babinski and Charlotte Clutterbuck of the fantastic Emo Disco. Pop Bubble Rock! have also teamed up with some fantastic female run creative businesses to create this unique event, with Thunderegg, Oklahoma, Stag & Raven and Black Milk Cereal giving away some great free goodies on the night.

Pop Bubble Rock! are passionate about empowering women to keep themselves safe and on hand to give advice on the night will be Head Doorperson for Gorilla, Louise, who also runs the ’30 Seconds Head Start’ scheme. Louise gives safety advice to women and offers classes in self-defence. Guests attending the Mean Girls House Party will have the chance to win a half price training session with her as well as a variety of other fantastic prizes.

Director Ben Hiard said, “Pop Bubble Rock! has always been an inclusive, friendly night and one which has tried to distance itself from what can sometimes be a pretty cliquey at best and misogynistic at worst, scene.

“In a world full of ‘frat parties’ we wanted to give a shout out to the sorority sisters and showcase some of the awesome Girl Power Manchester has to offer. This is gonna be the same super mega friendly and fun slice of mayhem you all love, but we’ve invited along some of the city’s most talented creative gals to help us party that little bit harder. This is for everybody.”

So, for anyone who fancies a good vibe night with all of their favourite Girl Power tunes and treats, Joshua Brooks is the place to be to celebrate all things fetch.

Saturday January 28 at Joshua Brooks.
