When students begin their first term at university it can be very easy to get caught up in the routine of attending lectures, negotiating vast text books and writing assignments. There’s also the horror of finding out which building you are supposed to be in.
When studying is a priority, and the library, lecture halls and student accommodation become the only buildings you’re seeing as your deadlines start rolling in, it can be very difficult to find time to relax. However, we all know that relaxation is hugely important to our mental health and, in the many outside green spaces that Manchester has to offer, a student can find the ideal location to do just that.

Green spaces are so important to Manchester residents that the Our Manchester project has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to improve the city’s parks and gardens. This campaign aims to make Manchester a more pleasant and cleaner place to live as well as providing an alternative environment to the chaos of the city’s traffic-packed streets.
