Bad weather hit Manchester today and has caused chaos across the region. From heavy rainfall to thunder and lightning, many high street shops, streets, and other buildings have been affected.

The Metrolink has been suspended after two substations were hit by lightning, resulting many of the operator’s systems being rendered useless. Manchester Airport has also been brought to a halt with over 15 flights waiting to take off. Market Street, the Green Quarter and the Northern Quarter have also been hit with heavy rainfall. Harvey Nichols is the most recent shop to be affected according to the MEN live storm weather updates.

If you have any images of the weather or locations which have been affected, please tweet them to @HumanityHallows. More importantly, if you are traveling through Manchester tonight please stay safe.
