Bloodstock returns for its 25th anniversary with a star-studded lineup of the metal genre’s finest.
One of the UK’s largest heavy festivals is set to return this year to celebrate its 25th anniversary, with a stacked weekend of metal royalty. Hosted at Derbyshire’s Catton Park from 6th-9th August, fans can expect to be treated to some of the finest acts in the genre, from beloved fan-favourites to legendary names.
Opening the gates on Thursday, metalheads can expect to catch Bloodstock veterans Saxon, who return to the festival for the fourth time. Widely regarded as pioneers of British heavy metal and one of the genres most influential bands, their return to Bloodstock is sure to be met by a warm welcome. Death Metal cult favourites Cryptopsy and the whimsical Evil Scarecrow also join the opening-night line-up to get the weekend started.
Friday boasts some of the genre’s best, with Lamb of God taking the coveted headline slot on the Ronnie James Dio stage. Currently celebrating the release of their new album Into Oblivion, fans can expect to hear new material as well as the usual classics. Horror punk outfit Wednesday 13, groove metal icons Sepultura and thrash pioneers Municipal Waste are set to perform earlier in the day to get the moshing started.
Saturday brings even more aggression with metal heavyweights Bleed from Within, alongside London’s rapidly rising Inhuman Nature, who will open up the main stage. The brutality continues with Russian deathcore band Slaughter to Prevail, known for pushing the boundaries of metal and for their eerie dog-like masked appearance, with highly anticipated headline set.
Closing out their 25th anniversary celebrations, Bloodstock 2026 welcomes back power metal monoliths Judas Priest to entertain the masses. Joining alongside are Canadian powerhouse Kittie and French darksynth band Carpenter Brut, rounding off the anniversary weekend in style.
