Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated gigs forthcoming to Manchester this month is Nick Mulvey at the Albert Hall on the 18th May. As April showers are left behind and the summer season starts to blossom, there’s something suitably fitting about Mulvey’s return to the stage, with his mesmeric song-list painting a rich visual experience that feels synonymous with summer evenings.
Touring on the back of last year’s acclaimed piece ‘Wake Up Now’, an album that seems to flourish with every listen, Mulvey will entice the Manchester faithful with standout songs such as ‘Myela’ (his answer to the migrant crisis), and ‘Unconditional’, an opening track which lays the foundations for what will follow.
Recently announcing via Twitter that only a handful of tickets remain available for the gig, the Cambridgeshire sensation (with a strong Cuban influence) expressed his love for Manchester, something that will surely be returned when his warming presence embraces the Albert Hall.
