This summer, actress turned children’s author Isla Fisher is coming to Manchester to launch latest children’s book.

Manchester Children’s Book Festival and Waterstones Deansgate will welcome Isla Fisher to Manchester this August to celebrate the publication of Marge and the Great Train Rescue.

Isla will visit Waterstones Deansgate from 12:30pm, on the Wednesday 23rd August for “fun and giggles”, reading from her latest book in the ‘Marge in Charge’ series. Isla will also be taking questions from the audience and signing copies of her books. Isla will be chatting with Corrinne Averiss, author of Dot in the Snow and Floss the Playground Boss.

Festival Director Kaye Tew said, “We’re delighted to welcome Isla Fisher for this special event. I can’t wait to hear what Marge the rainbow-haired babysitter gets up to this time. What better way to spend an afternoon, than an hour of entertaining chat, followed by browsing the shelves of a bookshop.”

Tickets are priced at £5.99 (admitting one adult and one child) and available via www.mcbf.org.uk/whats-on/events
