By David Keyworth

Manchester music fans will get the chance to say ‘I saw them before they were famous’ when the Zombie Shack serves up a musical cocktail, on Sunday 17th Sept (8.30pm – 11pm)

The Tiki-style bar on New Wakefield Street, will be Manchester’s calling point for the ILUVLIVE HOTLIST TOUR 2017

LUVLIVE was set up in 2004 and is a Not For Profit National Portfolio Organisation. It provides ‘live music and artist development platform’.

The organisation has helped nascent stars explode onto the UK and international music scene, including, Ed Sheeran, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Emeli Sandé, Taio Cruz, Chip, Wretch 32, Katy B, Maverick Sabre and Plan B, to name but a few.

Many of these stars performed with a live band for the very first time at ILUVLIVE.

Manchester’s very own MC/singer Geko – will headline the tour. The 20-year-old artist of North African descent started writing raps before he was a teenager. His videos for ‘Y’, and ‘Drunk on You’ have reached over a million views.

The four artists who have made it from the long list to the hot list, are:

MATT WILLS

Matt Wills is a rising talent but not a novice. He supported Bastille on their worldwide tour and featured on Wilkinson’s new single We Will Be. The singer-songwriter recently headlined Omeara – the gig venue and club space near London Bridge, which is situated at two Victorian railway arches. His ballad “Emily” was premiered on Radio 1 and follows the release of his Hurricane and Set You Free EPs.

SNE

Heading up  from East London comes SNE (aka Sound Never Ends). He was a member of the Grime collective “S.O.S.” (Sound Of The Streets), performing at the BBC and the Hackney Empire and the 02. Is he really ‘Hackneys Golden Child’, as he describes himself? Will he thrive in a northern climate? Find out September 17.

LAURA WHITE

The former X Factor contestant joins the HOT LIST TOUR line up. Laura finished in 8th place on the 5th series of The X Factor back in 2008 after a shock exit which saw her exit from the show raised in parliament.

AUTUMN SHARIF

Continuing her musical journey from the Netherlands comes Autumn Sharif. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter was born and raised in Dordrecht, South Holland. Her recently released debut single “5AM” fuses inspiration from Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. Autumn reached the quarter finals of The Voice in 2015, with Ricky Wilson as her mentor.

Zombie Shack is situated on the corner of Oxford Road, and New Wakefield Street, above the Thirsty Scholar. Tickets cost £7 and are available at ticketweb.uk
