Halloween has been and gone so that must only mean one thing… Christmas is coming!

The 2016 Christmas Light switch-on takes place this Friday 4th November, starting at 7.30pm.

The hugely popular event will be hosted by Key 103 Breakfast DJ Mike Toolan, Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent and comic Paddy McGuinness.

Cold Feet star John Thomson will take to the stage ahead of his panto role as Abanazar in Aladdin at the Opera House and the cast of Billy Elliot will be taking part ahead of their Palace Theatre dates.

12,000 people are expected to attend this year’s family-friendly spectacle featuring performances from X-Factor’s Louisa Johnson, JP Cooper and MOBO-nominated M.O (Modus Operandi).

Visitors are advised to arrive early to secure a great spot and avoid disappointment, as Albert Square has limited capacity.
