Manchester Fashion Industry shines at A/W 16 Metallica party

Manchester Fashion Industry returned to host an A/W 16 Metallica Party in exclusive association with Flannels department store. The event was held at the stunning Menagerie Bar and Restaurant and followed several successful fashion shows including the ‘Blue Hues’ event and the star-studded Gothic-inspired show last year.
The Manchester Fashion Industry are innovators of fashion based events and networking opportunities that bring together the fashion and beauty community. Following the success of A/W 15’s theme of ‘Gothic Romance’, the ‘Evening Of Style’ was centred around Metallics, and included spectacular live entertainment throughout the night, a breath-taking Flannels male & female brand fashion catwalk showcases which included haute couture garments from the likes of Gucci, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana and more.
The Menagerie was an ideal location for the event, with its beautiful interior. Excited guests were entertained while they waited for the main show by artists performing aerial hoop, surrounded by women in beautiful metallic gowns and men dressed smartly in tuxedos. The theme was thoroughly embraced by guests who received luxury goody bags giveaways, demonstrations and prizes from event partners Fake Bake, Hourglass Cosmetics, Regis Salons and Rolls Royce Motorcars.
The main fashion catwalk was graced by models from Vanita Model Management who represent Flannels Men and Women. The show took place at the back of the fully booked restaurant, in between the dining tables and booths filled with guests enjoying champagne.
Manchester Fashion Industry Director’s Remi Akande and Domain Esdale commented, ”We love hosting these fashion events and creating a buzz in the city and putting Manchester on the map for fashion. We’re overwhelmed with the support and attendance! ”
The Manchester Fashion Industry Instagram page encouraged guests to use the two hashtags #mcrfashionindustry and #AW16metallica to showcase their own photos of the event and their outfits for the occasion. This created an inclusive feel and enabled people who weren’t attending the event to fully participate in this night of luxury.
Also attending the event were Instagram models Ellie and Daisy O’Donnell, as well as stars from Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Love Island. Also mingling with guests was X Factor 2014 star Stevi Richie and Britain’s Got Talent star Paul Manners.
