This week has seen some very windy weather in Manchester and lots of rain which we are famous for! Despite this being no good for my hair (I’m sure no good for yours too), I have been braving the winds to continue my mission to find you stylish lovelies out there. This week my mission took me to the Manchester School of Art where I have to say, there were lots of you to pick from. Here is this week’s selection!

Name: Emily

Course: Textiles

Outfit: Coat Topshop, Jumper ASOS, Leggings Topshop, Boots ASOS, Necklace Affleck’s Palace.

Emily is looking beautiful in her winter monochrome outfit. She has layered up, teaming a long-sleeved turtleneck in black with a grey woollen winter coat. Her coat is a very similar style to what Ellie Goulding has been seen in recently and is a must have this season. She has teamed this with some black and white gingham leggings, which I love! But she has added a splash of colour with a simple silver and turquoise necklace which really catches the eye: yet another good buy from Affleck’s!

Name: Rebecca & David

Course: Both Fashion

Outfit: (Emily) Jumper Urban Outfitters, Shorts Topshop, Socks Primark, Sandals Urban Outfitters. (David) Top H&M, Jeans and Trainers Topman.

This stylish pair are bringing some pattern and sparkle to this grey winter day! Rebecca has gone for a black and gold sparkle baroque style jumper which is perfect for keeping warm and adding some excitement to your outfits this Christmas season. She had teamed this with denim hot pants and black sandals with silver sparkly sock (whoever said no to socks and sandals was mad!). David has kept a nice blue theme to his outfit by matching the stripe colour in his top with his converse style trainers (great idea buying them on the high street when you are on a student budget!). He has kept his outfit simple but stylish by wearing jeans. We all know simple and timeless is the best wardrobe to have!

Name: Lauren

Course: Textiles

Outfit: Jacket Topshop, Top New Look, Bag Topshop, Leggings Topshop, Shoes Urban Outfitters, Necklace Primark.

Lauren has the best of both worlds when it comes to winter outfits. She has teamed up her monochromes with a stunning bright green bag, which adds a huge colour injection onto her outfit. She has also added a statement necklace into the mix which has vibrant colours in too. My favourite part of her outfit is her Leather jacket (Which I have been eyeing up in Topshop Myself) which has a fur collar perfect form when you don’t have a scarf! Overall a great effort from Lauren!

Name: Emma

Course: Fine Art

Outfit: Shirt her granddads, Cardigan Tesco, Top Doctor Hyde, Leggings Urban Outfitters, Boots Doctor Hyde.

Emma, who I caught on a break from her work, is layered up for the weather with an oversized denim shirt (Like Macklemore taken from her Grandad’s wardrobe) and cardigan. She has kept her winter colour with a burgundy pair of disco pants and Tan boots. She told me that she hadn’t made much effort with her outfit today but I still think she looks great!

Name: Simon

Course: Art History

Outfit: Jacket Zara, Top Tee Fury, Jeans Burton, Trainers Adidas.

Simon is MMU’s own Tom Fletcher Lookalike (I know he won’t mind me saying that as he did mention that he gets stopped a lot for it) and like Tom, he has great style. There is layering and monochrome everywhere in his look. He’s kept to a classic combo of Leather jacket and hoodie which is a great way to keep warm this winter! I love his trainers with oversized tongues and a classic Adidas style. Simon’s stuck to key pieces that if you invest in you can wear over and over again with different items in your wardrobe!

That’s all for this week I would like to thank all my volunteers again for letting me have some of their time and being in this weeks’ Street Style. I will be back after Christmas when hopefully it will be a little bit warmer and you have got some great new outfits for Christmas! Don’t forget Christmas sales are a great time to get some new and key pieces for your wardrobe on a student budget! See you next time in the MMU Business School!
