We have a number of exciting opportunities for Manchester Met students to become members of the aAh! student editorial team for the upcoming 2023/24 academic year. Successful applicants will be invited to regular team meetings and training sessions. Up to 200 Rise points will be awarded for this activity. Current volunteer positions for 2024 include:
- Journalist (All categories, pitching and writing articles for online and print publication)
- Music Journalist (Music, live reviews, previews, interviews and profiles)
- Subeditor (All categories, editing and proofreading only)

- Culture Editor
- Lifestyle Editor
- Fashion Editor
- Music Editor
- Beauty Editor
- Sport Editor
- Creative Writing Editor
Social Media Roles
- Social Media Assistant – Facebook and Twitter
- Social Media Assistant – Instagram
- Social Media Assistant – LinkedIn
Graphic design, photography and illustration roles:
- Photographers (Print and online projects)
- Music Photographers (Live event coverage)
- Illustrators (Print and online projects)
- Featured Artists (Print magazine)
This is a great opportunity to gain an insight into the world of journalism, to pick up genuine employability skills and contacts and meet new people. Full training and support will be provided. All editorial team members are expected to be committed and work diligently with the rest of team to create quality content and ensure the online and print magazines are to a consistent high standard.
